An engineer with great organisational and people skills, who can demonstrate a proven capability as a civil engineering team leader. Experience in the water industry may be advantageous but is not essential. Chartered civil or structural engineer with demonstrable experience as design team leader for projects of capital value up to £25M. Experience in delivering a range of different types of projects and have relevant experience working within a consultancy environment. Focussed on ensuring designs are delivered in compliance with client specifications and to the agreed programme and budget. Have the ability to communicate effectively and pro-actively both within the civil engineering discipline and with other disciplines. Have a thorough understanding of CDM Regulation requirements as they affect the design process. Have a high standard of IT literacy with a proven ability to use (and manage the use of) engineering software commensurate with current best practice. Provide civil engineering team leader responsibilities for assigned work packages. Take programme and budgetary responsibility for assigned work packages. Ensure satisfactory internal and multidisciplinary liaison and co-ordination of the civil engineering design effort within the team. Manage the design process; ensuring compliance with QA and CDM procedural requirements.
