My Client is a world leading manufacturer of marine electronics and instrumentation, underwater imaging systems, ocean surveys, hydrography and underwater navigation, process automation and positioning.

This role is within one, highly successful division of the company dealing with the manufacture and supply of specialist televisual and telemetry equipment for harsh environments. Their products are currently in widespread use within the Offshore Oil Exploration, Military (land based and naval), Scientific Research, Fisheries, Port and Harbour Surveillance and Shipping industries. They are widely recognised as an innovator, designing and engineering quality camera systems covering the spectrum of available technologies.

 

 

 

A situation has become vacant within the Subsea Visual Division for a Sales & Business Development Manager.

The key responsibilities for the role will be business development into new market areas – notably Nuclear Power Generation and Renewable Energy – as well as capitalisation on already existing accounts within the business.

You will be required to develop and implement a workable business plan for the growth of the business.

You will be required to mentor and develop more junior members of Sales & Marketing staff.

You will be selling direct and also through overseas agents so must have experience of both.

 

 

 

You will have substantial background of sales and business development within the Offshore, Subsea, Marine or Defence arenas, ideally with experience selling underwater instrumentation equipment - camera, sonar, ROV electrics etc.

You will have excellent commercial and competitor awareness.

You will have an excellent technical knowledge and although you need not have an Engineering qualification, you will have a significant level of product and technical knowledge throughout your employment history.

You will have very good communication, organisation and negotiation skills and ideally have management experience.

You will have the drive and determination to succeed within this fast paced and competitive industry.
