• Responsible for the safe and reliable operation of the 600 MW pulverised coal fired power plant located on the island of Luzon, Philippines.
• Manage all aspects of plant operation, maintenance, administration, staff management (250 people) and budgeting activities at the facility.

• Ensure implementation of effective and economical operating and maintenance methods, techniques, policies and procedures to optimize availability and efficiency.
• Develop plant budgets in accordance with corporate budgeting practices. Monitor and control plant expenditures within the developed budgets.
• Establish and maintain effective plant monitoring and reporting systems.
• Ensure that all necessary operating permits and consents are obtained and maintained.
• Ensure that the facilities are compliant with all regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.
• Ensure that adequate, well trained personnel are available to effectively carry out plant activities.
• Ensure that Root Cause Analyses of incidents are performed and reported in accordance with company procedures.
• Ensure operational coordination with commercial (trading) activities.
• Negotiate and administer operation and maintenance contracts, as required.

Education

• University degree in Engineering.
• Master’s degree or MBA is an advantage.

• 10 to 15 years of professional experience in Power Generation facilities.
• Experience with coal fired power plants is preferred.
• Experience with a multi-national corporation in a cross-cultural environment is a plus.
