Description
My Client is a UK leader in CCTV surveying of all types of pipelines. They provide off-road CCTV equipment to allow surveys to be carried out in the most remote of locations. They use advanced sonar radio location equipment, live CCTV/video footage and innovative software to provide customers with a complete computerised report which is easy to use, store and retrieve.
Their quality, health & safety standards are among the highest in the industry with membership of British Safety Council for Health Safety & environmental Best Practice, registration with SEPA and quality assurance accreditation to ISO 9002/14001.
Due to company growth, a role is available currently for a Health & Safety Manager to join the business with responsibility for 3 UK offices and over 100 members of staff.
The role will be based in the Lothian Head Office, but you will be in over-all charge of the H&S requirements and ensuring all staff members adhere to H&S procedures of over 40 rigs (equipment modules) out at any time across the UK.
You will be required to travel to job sites across the UK.
You will be required to provide advice and guidance to the Board on all H&S matters.
You will be required to run health checks of the business and audits as well as maintain company accreditation.
You must be aware of and remain current on all H&S and Quality standards at all times.
You will have a good level of experience in a similar position and will ideally come from an Oil & Gas, Construction, Heavy Manufacturing, Rail, Water or Civil Engineering background.
You should have Lead Assessor accreditation and ideally NEBOSH and/or IOSH.
You will be commercially aware with an authoritative, but solutions orientated manner of dealing with each situation.
You will be an excellent communicator and comfortable dealing with people at all levels.
You will be a calm and assured individual who can put your case across firmly and ensure that your recommendations are carried out in an expedient manner and continue to be.
