Description
This role will be responsible for the initial creation and maintenance of schedules within the project teams. As the programme is still in its early stages this in as opportunity to be involved from the very beginning. Schedules will be built within Primavera P6 to the Programme Control Procedures and will be fully resource-loaded, this work will be undertaken in conjunction with the programme Cost Manager and Project Cost Estimators. The role will be an integral part of the project team so alongside regular schedule updates will also be involved in the risk and change management processes. The role will also have inputs to regular monthly reporting through the programme. Develops resource loaded project schedules Ensures that project schedules reflect the correct scope of work Analyzes project schedule and advises Project Manager of progress against schedule Analyzes schedule progress and performance and identifies developing problem areas Integrate project budget and schedule to forecast cash flow requirements Prepare schedule performance measurements reports, forecasts, and what-ifs Implements project control procedures in conjunction with Programme Controls and Project Teams Analyzes critical paths and restraints to determine effect of changes on the schedule and recommends workarounds to mitigate impacts. Develops plans and recommendations for mitigation of impacts of schedule problems Prepares and reviews portions of the monthly progress report UK resident or eligibility to work in the UK; At least an HNC or above with construction related experience; Highly computer literate; Hands-on experience with resource loading & earned value management systems; Good working knowledge of Primavera P3e/c v4.1 or above; Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Advanced skills in Access would be desirable; Experience with Primavera Expedition (now known as Contract Manager) would be an advantage but not essential. Good knowledge of UK construction industry techniques is essential; Knowledge of the NEC contract would be beneficial.
