One of the largest in the industry, our clients Process Team plays a pivotal role within the design and construction of water treatment plants.

The company do have some technical specialists, however, the majority of their process scientists and engineers are exposed to potable water, wastewater and more recently, industrial wastewater treatment design. This leads to a very rewarding and varied workload that also encompasses the full range of project development, right from the initial conceptual design, all the way through detailed engineering to process commissioning.

You will be expected to take the lead in both the conceptual and detailed process design phases of projects varying from single site process optimisation contracts to large multi-million pound design build and operate contracts. Competent in design of experiments, the successful candidate will also be expected to plan laboratory jar testing, supervise plant performance testing and provide technical support to the commissioning team.

A Senior Process Scientist will play a pivotal role within the department and will be expected to supervise and coach junior members of staff in addition to the above.

The role will be office based but will involve some travelling to sites across the UK.

Qualifications and Experience

Degree or equivalent in relevant science/engineering subject or equivalent relevant work experience.

Considerable relevant design experience of potable water and/or waste water treatment facilities. This design experience must include process selection and design, detailed mass balances and process unit sizing. Some laboratory analysis and experience of industrial wastewater or sewage treatment design would be beneficial but not essential.
