Description
We are seeking experienced railway signalling engineers to provide signal engineering input into our project portfolio, consisting of both detailed design and engineering consultancy services. Responsible for contributing to the delivery of signalling work packages and provide specialist technical support and assistance to rail infrastructure projects, both in the UK and overseas.
The candidate will be accountable for the effective delivery of tasks assigned, in particular:
-Delivery of engineering (design and consultancy) specific tasks;
-Contribution to the engineering input to multi-disciplinary railway engineering (design and consultancy) projects;
-Observation of company quality, health & safety, environmental, commercial and project management disciplines and procedures, as relevant to tasks undertaken.
Based in our Birmingham office, you will be responsible for the provision of professional signal engineering input throughout the complete project lifecycle (GRIP 1-8).
Responsibilities may include, on a project by project basis, the provision of signal engineering input into: Feasibility Studies/Option Analysis/Appraisal; Scheme Development; Detailed Design Production.
The ideal candidate will have, or will be working towards, IRSE 1.1.150A Signalling Scheme Designer and 1.1.150C Signalling Designer Licence, ONC/HNC in an engineering discipline and will have experience of signalling design. Ability to plan and produce compliant signalling schemes with minimum supervision. Knowledge of signalling principles, circuits, components and the implications of working with other disciplines. Must be a good team worker and decision maker.
