Transmission & Distribution - Substation Development Engineers. My Client is heavily committed to the energy sector and views this vital sector as a major area for expansion heading into the future. The transmission and distribution sector is a key part of this sector. The business operates on a global basis with offices in the UK, USA, China and the Middle East. Their clients range from government agencies through to utilities and private developers and our order book genuinely represents some of the most interesting projects in the sector today. The division is currently going through a period of strategic growth which will ultimately lead to a commanding position within the market place. We have a current requirement for development engineers to project manage the National Grid High Voltage transmission investments. You will co-ordinate with, and support the Designers, Cost Managers, Risk Managers, Site Engineers, Programmers, Land and Development, Client and other staff and stakeholders essential to building a target costed solutions. In the final stages you will provide a smooth handover to the Project Delivery Managers. These roles are ideally suited to someone who has experience developing or project managing high capital utility projects in the UK. High Voltage experience (132kV) is preferred however candidates with development experience in Water, Gas and other large capital utilities will also be considered. Experience with Local Authority and EA planning is welcome. Non UK experience will be considered where Specific High Voltage project development experience can be shown, and training will provided to ensure understanding of UK construction practise and law.
