EC&I Engineer - Industrial and Municipal Project Base. Working relationships (Reporting to) Engineering Manager. Working relationships (working with) All internal departments including workshops and external suppliers. Tasks required of the incumbent will be varied and require the following skill set :- Ability to convert tender level information to project plant specification detail to enable purchase of equipment to be carried out. Experience will be required in the specification of power, instrumentation and control equipment associated with all aspects of water / effluent treatment plant specifically, but not limited to, the following:- Pumping units. Air Blowers. In line pipe items (pressure gauges, flow transmitters and switches etc.). Vessel equipment to common European and international standards (including ASME VIII). Valves, signalling from both manual and actuated. Control of actuated. Experience in the following processes would be advantageous although not essential:- Demineralised Water Production. Reverse Osmosis. Condensate Polishing. Filtration using Inert Media. Filtration by mechanical interception equipment. Ion Exchange processes. Chemical Dosing Systems. Alternatively a candidate with sound background of process engineering in the offshore oil and gas industry would be of interest to us. The engineer is to review information and ensure that designs are prepared, made and constructed to best possible practise whilst maintaining budgetary aims and goals. Where required by the project manager, attend client and sub contractor meetings to ensure that CKWT engineering excellence is available to our customers for advice and help. Possess the ability to ensure that CKWT engineering skill is not compromised by equipment provided by vendors in our supply chain. Good experience of the production and interpretation of standard EC&I documentation. Schematics, Loop diagrams, Circuit diagrams, control philosophy, URS / FDS. Qualifications - Graduate level preferred although candidates with HNC and significant industrial experience will be considered. Experience - It is unlikely that anyone with less than 5 years post completion of qualifications will have the necessary depth of experience to successfully perform the role. Must be able to work as part of a small or large team. Flexible in approach to variety and nature of tasks allocated. Willing to learn and work within CKWT procedures and practises.
