Amec currently have a requirement for experienced safety engineers and safety assessors. These positions will be based in Birchwood, Warrington.

Permanent and contract candidates will be considered for these safety engineer roles, although successful contract candidates will be required to commit to the project for a minimum of 2 years.

Working as part of the Safety Team to develop and deliver cost effective safety consultancy in the development of Safety Cases

Key Responsibilities

1. Production and verification of Safety Case documentation in line with client requirements and methodologies and modern safety case standards 2. Liase with clients regulators to resolve technical issues associated with the development of Safety Arguements 3. Support the Team Leader in building client relationships, identifying future opportunities and prospects and recommending solutions to clients. 4. Production and submission of proposals and tenders to clients.

Essential Qualifications

1. Degree qualified in science, engineering or maths 2. Radiological Safety Analysis 3. Probabilistic / Deterministic Risk Analysis 4. Hazard identification / Hazop 5. Plant modifications

Desirable Qualifications

1. Safety Case Management 2. Consultancy experience 3. Decommissioning Safety Cases 4. Hazop Chair 5. Safety Case Implementation

Experience Required

1. 5-10 years in safety case development 2. Experience of working for/with major UK Licensees and knowledge of the Safety Case methodologies of at least one major UK Licensee 3. Demonstrable understanding of modern safety case methodologies
