Due to an expanding work load an opportunity has arisen for a consultant to join our clients expanding team. An Engineer will play a key part in the delivery of projects within the team.

 

Key focuses will be on:

     

  • Renewables/Low Carbon Energy

     

     

  • Carbon Funding

     

     

  • Energy & Utility Infrastructure

     

     

  • Energy Efficiency & Demand Management

     

     

  • Sustainable Development

     

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

The Consultant will work within a combined team and work alongside other divisions, project Architects, Project Managers, cost consultants and client representatives.

 

Key responsibilities of the role will involve the following:

     

  • Assist the team of consultants in providing renewable energy solutions, energy strategies and innovative scheme designs by taking into full consideration existing and emerging technologies and sustainable design.

     

     

  • Work closely with colleagues in delivering a high level of service resulting in clear and demonstrable client satisfaction.

     

     

  • Assist in the development of a team of professional consultants.

     

     

  • Understand, explore and expand emerging technologies.

     

     

  • The successful candidate must be able to work under their own initiative and make informed engineering decisions.

     

 

The ideal candiate will have:

 

     

  • An Engineering Degree level qualification.

     

     

  • Experience acting as Project Engineer in the construction industry, including design responsibility for mechanical and/or electrical services and attending client and design meetings.

     

     

  • The candidate will have comprehensive design knowledge of all major HVAC systems, and be able to summarise and provide an overview of mechanical and/or electrical services.

     

     

  • An understanding of low and zero carbon technologies and the issues associated with the practical application of these to buildings is also required.

     

     

  • The candidate should be self-motivated and enthusiastic, able to work independently but with good communication skills for interaction with other professional team members, the client and internal teams.
