Our Client is responding to the increased interest in energy arising from climate change concerns and rising fuel costs by expanding our capabilities in these areas.. They are seeking to build the team capability to take forward implementation of renewable energy projects using onshore and offshore wind, marine, hydro, solar and Biomass resources.

Key functions of this position is:

• Develop and lead the renewables team
• Providing technical advisor, study services, feasibility services, design and project management services.
• Managing commissions;
• Providing specialist input to projects
• Co-ordinating inputs from other specialists
• Providing expertise to take projects from inception through to successful completion

Key areas of responsibility will comprise:

• Developing and executing projects in the renewable energy sector
• Project management of renewable energy projects, co-ordinating specialist inputs, and managing delivery of the project to quality, time, and cost.

• Liaison and communication with clients

• Developing the team capability to provide a wide range of energy-related services

• Working with other specialists to enhance the range of services offered to clients

• Maintaining skills and developing new skills and knowledge within the team to be able to provide leading edge advice and services to clients.

• Developing project ideas, preparation of bids and proposals for work

• Supporting business development activities in the energy sector and providing technical expertise in own specialist areas to the clients project and business development teams world-wide

The successful candidate should possess a relevant degree or equivalent with chartered status; and be able to demonstrate extensive experience in renewable energy studies (technical and policy) and demonstration or commercial implementation projects across several technologies.
