Description
All candidates must have experience within the Water industry.
Reports to the Project Manager and Project Surveyor as a member of the site team, and is responsible for providing a Quantity Surveying Service in accordance with the Gleeson Quality and Safety Management Systems.
Interpretation/understanding of the respective obligations, responsibilities and liabilities of the parties to the contract and provision of advice/guidance on them to the site team as appropriate.
Interpretation/understanding of the contract estimate (including settlement adjustments) and provision of advice/guidance on it to the site team as appropriate.
Ensuring that all site staff adhere to the agreed site procedures and reporting systems.
Preparation and production of all agreed reports to predetermined deadlines.
Archiving of all essential project documentation.
Delegation/allocation of Quantity Surveying tasks to Assistants (if they are available) including setting objectives and monitoring their progress.
Attending site meetings.
Contribute to the resolution of commercial, contractual and construction problems.
Protection of the Company’s commercial interests including prompt payment for work executed.
Other duties/functions as required by the Project Manager/Project Surveyor.
ESSENTIAL
Contracting experience
driving license, willingness to travel
Intermediate knowledge of Word and Excel
Desirable
soiling QS experience (including procurement)
Experience with N.E.C / IchemE
Required Skills: Quantity Surveyor
Minimum Qualification: School Qual or equivalent
