 ALL CANDIDATES MUST HAVE SIGNIFICANT EXPERIENCE WITHIN THE WATER INDUSTRY.

Reports to the Commercial Director, and is responsible for ensuring that Senior Project Quantity Surveyor and Project Quantity Surveyors carry out their duties in accordance with the Procedure Manual for Civils Quantity Surveyors.

Interprets/understands the respective obligations, responsibilities and liabilities of the parties to the contract, and provides advice and guidance to the site team, as appropriate.

Responsible, with the Contracts Managers, for setting up site procedures and reporting systems, which will enable accurate feedback in the form of budgets, monthly progress and management accounts to be prepared and submitted to Head Office.

Responsible for organising the archiving of all essential project documentation.

Responsible, with the Contracts Managers, for ensuring Clients’ satisfaction.

Contributes to the resolution of problems, be they commercial, contractual or construction related issues.  The degree of involvement is left to the judgement of the Managing Surveyor, but will largely depend on the experience of the Project Quantity Surveyor.

Responsible for the welfare, training and development of Quantity Surveyors.

Protects the Company’s commercial interests by ensuring that all contractual notices relating to time and money entitlements are issued to the Client.

To be aware of and preserve the Company’s good name in dealings with the Client, our suppliers and the public at large.

 ESSENTIAL

Contracts experience.

Intermediate knowledge of Word and Excel.

Driving license

Willingness to travel.

DESIRABLE

HNC/HND or Degree

RICS/ICES/CIOB.

Construction Law.

NEC/IchemE forms of contract

soiling QS experience (including procurement)
