Description
We have a leading client that specialise in consultancy, engineering, construction and management of projects for the water, environmental and energy sectors. They are seen as market leaders in the water and wastewater treatment industry and have provided full capital projects solutions and services for major water suppliers throughou the UK and international. They presently have in excess of 6000 technical, management and support staff.
Due to an expanding workload we currently have opportunities for Project Managers to join our new office in Solihull. We are seeking experienced projects managers at a Senior to Principal level.
For the client, Project Management is a mission critical role in delivering our business and sustaining growth throughout our operations. The successful candidates will be responsible for managing a wide variety of project work within our environmental, water, wastewater, energy and business solutions groups, driving excellent client service and coaching the development of our project staff in a business unit environment.
Project Management at the company has a clearly defined career path supported by both in-house training and external training at all levels - we take care to provide an environment for our Project Managers to be successful, working within a Global Project Delivery Framework that includes tools and practices necessary to perform the role.
Key tasks include;
Ensure that the project is delivered to the Client on time and to a high standard
Meet or exceed budgeted financial performance goals. These goals are collaboratively set between the Business Unit Leader, Senior Project Manager and the Project Manager before commencement of each project
Adherence to the Global Project Delivery Framework and all Operational policies and procedures
Build, maintain and manage strong client relationships
Mentor and develop project staff to ensure continuous learning and development
To be successful in one of these roles, you will have either post-graduate project management qualifications or hands-on experience of managing projects to schedule; budget and quality. In addition to these specific project management skills, candidates should be team players with intuitive coaching skills to develop their team members, have a strong client service focus and excellent communication skills.
