Client Overview

Our client is a market leader in the maintenance, repair, supply, design and upgrade of thermal power plants. They require three Resident Engineers for various worldwide projects.

Role and Duties

Your role will be to assist in the site management of the directly employed labour and staff, and co-ordinate sub contractors in such a way as to execute site activities / workscope, in a safe manner within programme, to the required quality standard and in a cost effective way.

You will be responsible for the regular review of operations as well as managing supervision.Resource management to programme requirements will be a key duty along side safety audit and monitoring. You will also adhere to company procedures for safety, quality, commercial etc.

Qualifications and Experience

You will obtain a knowledge & understanding of the legal, practical and safety requirements. You will also require the ability to co-ordinate and manage all site activities involving direct labour and subcontractors to ensure the level of productivity to that required under contract.

You must have knowledge and application of the company / client quality procedures and knowledge of technical requirements to carry out workscope of contract.

The candidate must demonstrate significant and appropriate experience in Mechanical & Process Industry Sector.

Ability to manage and resolve all industrial and employee relation issues. Communication skills to liaise with section engineers and subcontract supervision all aspects of information required to carry out site activities e.g. method statements and interface awareness.

Candidates should be preferably qualified in a relevant HNC/Degree qualification as a minimum. IOSH qualified.

Sufficient and appropriate experience as a section engineer is desirable.
