My client is a global engineering consultancy who provides specialist expertise to clients across a wide range of industries including water, energy and the environment.

 

 

Role

 

With current involvement in some of Europe’s largest capital projects, a vacancy has arisen for an M&E Project Manager to work in a new office in the Sussex area. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a wide variety of project work within the environmental, water, wastewater, energy and business solutions groups, driving excellent client service and coaching the development of project staff in a business unit environment.

 

You will typically be involved in M&E projects such as:

 

  • Water and wastewater treatment works
  • Schemes to help safeguard water supplies including service reservoirs and network projects
  • Wastewater network projects and pumping stations
  • Work to start addressing Government plans for new house building

Projects will range in size from less than £50k up to and in excess of £50 million looking at new build, quality improvements and asset maintenance.

 

 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure that the project is delivered to the Client on time and to a high standard
  • Meet or exceed budgeted financial performance goals.
  • Adherence to the Global Project Delivery Framework and all Operational policies and procedures
  • Build, maintain and manage strong client relationships
  • Mentor and develop project staff to ensure continuous learning and development

 

Candidate

 

In order to be considered for this position, you will meet the following criteria:

 

  • Degree qualified or equivalent in an engineering or science discipline
  • Ideally hold a professional Project Management qualification (e.g. APM), or demonstrable Project Management experience
  • Relevant experience, ideally project experience from the water industry
