Description
This is an amazing opportunity to join one of the worlds' most recognized names in power generation. Offering their clients precision plant equipment, turn-key power plants and full plant maintenance services they sit amongst the top 3 names in this industry. With the Australian economy and resources sectors booming, my client has several significant orders for large scale power plants.
The position
You will be a part of the Australian projects team to oversee construction of a reasonably large gas turbine power plant (circa $300M AUD) over approximately 24 months. You will forecast work loads and ensure necessary material and human resources to meet project deadlines Your role will included management of multi-disciplined staff including; recruiting, managing, training and mentoring staff and conducting performance reviews; You will also manage work technically and contractually to ensure it meets technical requirements and is performed within company policies and procedures. You will also monitor the administration and co-ordination of claims and variations
The person
You will have a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering combined with at least 10 yrs experience, preferably gained on gas turbines. You will require fluency in English, written and spoken, as well as strong communicative skills. You will have excellent capabilities dealing with industrial relations matters including unions, state government, health and safety etc.
