One of the major Worldwide Energy companies are looking to expand their Energy Consulting team, through the appointment of an Energy Consultant at lead professional level.

The successful candidate will support advisory services in the European electric power industry and business initiatives in one or more of the following disciplines with a focus on European markets:

· Develop detailed market simulation models for the energy industry in support of delivering customer solutions.

· Conduct power system economic and engineering analysis including: modelling, simulation, and evaluation of design alternatives.

· Communicate results to both internal and external clients.

· Participate on solutions project teams by developing projects with customers.

· Support domestic and international projects across regions depending on overall market needs, and communicate customer needs and values.

· Monitor power markets for rule changes that may affect generation and transmission asset values and advise clients on expected impacts of those rules, risks associated with them and potential mitigants.

You will be of graduate calibre with knowledge in the simulation of the energy market using production simulation software and transmission analysis using load flow software. An in depth understanding of the following areas is required: power systems physical and economic operations, generation and transmission planning, energy trading, current energy industry regulations, policies and standards, electricity market design and operation, and generation/transmission asset valuation in regulated and deregulated markets.
