Our client, a leading Design and Project Management consultancy, are currently looking for an experienced Mechanically qualified Engineer (pumps/pipes/vessels/machinery) to fill the role of Head of Mechanical Engineering. Suitable for a Senior/Principal Engineer, or Senior Project Engineer who is looking to progress their career to the next level. Our client are currently working on a number of prestigious projects for blue chip companies in the Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Food and General Engineering industries. A knowledge of one or more of these industries would be a distinct advantage although not essential. The role will involve overseeing a team of 10+ Engineering staff, dealing with tenders and design through to completion of multi million pound projects. Reporting to Senior Management this role is seen as a key position in terms of pushing the company forwards in terms of turnover and reputation. This means that the successfull candidate not only needs to be a good Engineer technically, but also needs to be eager & enthusiastic to drive the department forwards and win new work.
