Our client provides engineering services to the mining industry at all stages of project development from exploration and resource evaluation through finance and development to permitting, operation, closure and rehabilitation of mine sites. As a result of continued growth they are looking to employ a new Head of Mining Geotechnics to join the specialist team.

As a senior, experienced geotechnical engineer you will have an extensive background and experience in geotechnics in the mining industry. Your background should include: underground rock mechanics, rock slope engineering, leach pad design and construction, and waste dump design and operation.

You will have in-depth experience with typical mining operational activities and the associated geotechnical design requirements including the latest technology in modelling, analysis and stabilisation techniques. Ideally you will have developed solid client support skills along with business development capabilities through previous consulting experience.

The position will be based in the UK with flexibility on office location including Ashford, Chesterfield, or central London. International travel will be required. Competitive compensation packages including relocation, base salary, incentive programmes, and benefits are on offer.
