Responsible for providing an estimating service to the business centre. Responsible for an analysis of Client documentation and an understanding of standard Conditions of Contract.  Responsible , with the bid manager, for the preparation of and compliance with the Tender Strategy. Responsible, with the bid manager or others for managing the risk process during the tender period. Responsible for preparing analytical bids using computer based systems. Responsible for managing the process of obtaining competitive quotations and analysing them for inclusion of ‘Best Value’ in tenders. Responsible for preparing ‘Estimate Book’ and overall tender price and presenting information to Cost Review Board. Attending project close out meetings and be responsible for collating feedback information.  Responsible, with the Project Manager or other to negotiate and agree costs with Clients. Responsible for providing budget and feasibility costs to both internal and external clients.  The successful candidate will be HNC qualified and preferably have either a BSc or MICE.  The role requires proven experience in Estimating, preferably whilst working on site and in preparing bids in the Water Industry. The post holder will require a knowledge of Standard forms of Conditions or Contract.  In particular I.Chem. E. And NEC as well as knowledge in Risk Management with a Commercial Awareness. A competence in IT is essential for this role particularly in estimating database. The successful candidate will have good presentation skills and preferably skills in negotiation.
