To work closely with the Environment Manager in; Providing support with the development of Environmental performance monitoring systems. Assisting in the delivery of Global Climate Change Commitments. Keeping up to date with current Environmental legislation and industry best practice and disseminating this information as appropriate. Providing Environmental advice on Environmental Management systems, Supplier/ Sub-Contractor pre-qualification and management, Environmental Reviews, risk assessments, Climate Change initiatives, project planning documentation, to all levels of staff.  Contributing to development and delivery of the Environmental annual action plans.  Collating information on progress implementing plans and targets within the business unit.  Identifying Environmental training needs, developing and delivering training as required. Developing and maintaining the Environmental management systems, and assisting in the maintenance of the ISO 14001 registration.  Supporting the continuing development of company's Environmental culture.  Preparing submissions and Environmental business development responses. Providing assistance to the Business Unit SHEQUAL advisers, Environmental Champions and Environmental reviewers as required. Assisting with Environment manager's initiatives (e.G. Policies /performance improvement etc). Applicants will have a relevant degree or MSc., Relevant experience working with an environmental company, Experience in environmental auditing, environmental management systems, waste management, construction environment, carbon foot-printing, preparation of environmental plans/statements or impact assessments, sustainable development and corporate responsibility reporting. Excellent communication and report writing skills. Presentation skills. IT skills - Competent in the use of excel, word, PowerPoint.
