Job Title:

Project Manager – Energy - Biofuels

Location:

North East of England

Our client is a leading global provider of engineering and construction services, technology products and integrated solutions. The business comprises several industries, including Oil & Gas, Refining & Chemicals, Mining & Metals and Power Generation.

Your key objectives will be to provide Project Management from small to medium sized projects ensuring successful project execution; projects can be EPC, EPCM, Framework or Studies as well as delivery of best practice and outstanding performance across all designated projects. You will also be responsible for providing Project Execution input to Proposals activities including formulation of Project Execution Strategy in the Power and Utilities, Metals and Mineral Processing, Process and Nuclear sectors.

Project:

• Financial and Project Reviews on behalf of Project Execution, including risk assessments.

• Reporting to Senior Project Manager or Associate Director.

• Provide early warning ‘no surprises’ function on the occurrence of adverse events and develop mitigating responses.

• Manage and develop members of the Project Team.

• Represent Senior Management in relationships with clients and suppliers / subcontractors.

Tendering:

• Formulation, preparation and issue of Project Execution Strategies and Procedures.

• Contribution to Estimating activities and Tender Reviews on behalf of Project Execution , including risk assessments and effective application of the Tender Approval Process on behalf of Project Execution

Qualifications and Experience

(emphasis on metals and mineral processing)

You will need to be a chartered engineer or equivalent.

Liaises With

You will need to be capable of liaising with Clients, Senior Management across the company including Associate Directors, Suppliers and Subcontractors.
