Our client requires an Electrical Engineer to join their busy team based in Portchester.

The main tasks for the successful Electrical Engineer is to undertake the top level design of systems covering a broad range of waste management and treatment facilities.

Electrical Engineers with experience of the electrical engineering design of industrial systems, to include small scale power generation and a knowledge of HV/LV system design and connections to the National Grid are preferred. 

Experience of CHP systems & an understanding of the legislative framework for renewable energy production would be a bonus.

Duties:
- Develop design concepts using computer modelling and design techniques
- Assisting in the development of solutions to customer requirements
- Undertaking Research and Development projects
- Preparing technical specifications for systems covering functional performance, operation, reliability, and maintainability
- Development of Operating and Maintenance Procedures
- Preparation of drawings and sketches using Autocad

The role requires a good broad understanding of mechanical, electrical, thermal and building systems.

The position involves liaising with customers, suppliers, and technical advisors; and includes occasional travel within the UK. A driving licence is required.
