Electrical Design Engineers - London.  As an electrical engineer your main duties and responsibilities will be to contribute to the management and design of water and waste water schemes for our client. This will include working in multi-disciplinary teams of civil, mechanical, process and electrical/C&I engineers. You will be working in teams and therefore must be able to interact positively with staff and within the client environment. You will also be required to have an awareness of project and programme management and be aware of and understand the commercial and financial consequences of their actions and the actions of others. You should have a good multidisciplinary knowledge of their field and be able to positively advise other disciplines regarding aspects of their design as it impacts electrical engineering issues. You will be expected to be progressive and imaginative in your work and strive to add value where possible for the benefit of the company and our clients. Typical duties for electrical engineers would comprise preparation or supervision of preparation of drawings for plant general arrangements, power single line, cable block diagrams, instrumentation loop, P&IDs, control system architecture, cable, instrument and I/O schedules. To manage the production of documentation for control philosophies, functional design, tenders, schedule of prices, engineer’s estimates and factory and site acceptance. The candidate will be required to supervise, where necessary, the work of engineers with less experience and provide technical and professional guidance to assist their development. The Candidate should be prepared to spend periods working away from base either in client offices, on project sites in the UK.
