The successful candidate will join a core multi-disciplinary engineering design team, providing drafting and surveying assistance on a broad range and scale of predominantly water supply, drainage, sewerage and treatment projects across the north and north-east of England and supporting other offices throughout the UK. The successful applicant for this role will ideally have qualifications in either technical drawing or graphics and have experience in the use of CAD Software. You should have an interest in the construction and water industry and be able to demonstrate good presentation skills in drawing work. You should also have had appropriate amount of relevant work experience of producing CAD drawings of highway and on-plot drainage schemes. Knowledge of 3D CAD would also be preferable. You will occasionally be required to assist engineers in on-site survey work, which may require travelling and overtime. You should be flexible regarding duties and working hours, which may vary to meet deadlines and workload. You may also occasionally be required to work in other offices, including Client locations. Demonstrate a basic ability of CAD Software and good drawing presentation skills. Have the ability to work efficiently with other members of the team. Have good communication skills. Flexible approach to undertaking and supporting survey teams. Desire to develop through training. Good team working skills and experience of Client facing organisations. Working knowledge of detailing of drainage schemes. The role will include responsibility for: Drafting engineering drawings using CAD Software (AutoCad 2008). Assisting survey teams as necessary.
