Description
Consultant Hydrologist. To work as a part of a growing and dynamic team on a wide variety of hydrology, hydro-ecology and multi-disciplinary projects; including significant national/regional level studies; for water companies, developers, local authorities, industrial clients and central government organisations. You will be based within an established team of hydrologists but get opportunities to work closely with other disciplines including hydrogeologists, ecologists and engineers. Typical duties would include production of reports, modelling, data gathering and analysis, supervising more junior members of the team and liaison with clients and third parties. You will provide technical input for the hydrological aspects of the projects and, where appropriate will act as Project/Task Manager for small to medium sizes project, ensuring delivery to time, cost and quality. Entry on to our structured training schemes for either the ICE or CIWEM is available depending on your qualifications and preference. Relevant first degree with a Masters degree preferred. Chartered with a relevant professional institution (e.g. MCIWEM) or working towards Chartership. Detailed hands on technical involvement in hydrology projects, with experience of relevant modelling packages. Involvement in Water Resources, Water Framework Directive, Integrated River Basin Management or Flood Studies (strategic or site specific) related projects is of particular interest.
