Lead and direct internal geotech design team on tunneling/LUL schemes. Review and direct sub-consultants scope and outputs. Liase with design team/client/contractors. Develop tunneling skills in the GT team for wider mage of clients ( rail Utilities, HW and property). The candidate will be a technical reviewer and mentor. Background Information Rail growth identified as partial replacement for HW sector. Need senior appointment for LUL to progress in this market. LUL experience of procedures/people (if possible). Expert Witness, Health and Safety.  Chartered Civil engineer. Civil Engineering Degree and Masters in Geotech/tunneling/Mining or similar.  Taken leading role in major business for tunnelling works. Strong technical experience in different forms of construction, particularly NATM. Experienced Client interfacing role.  Expert witness. Wider geotechnical skills to be flexible on work type to suit project workload. Business development skills. Ability to present conferences etc also desirable.  Personal Characteristics High technical standards, ability to see big picture as well as deal with detail, outwardly facing to interface with team/clients etc, motivator, leader, personable.
