Representatives of Eon's plugin2engineering initiative recently attended the Hundred of Hoo School, Hoo St Werburgh, to promote the career.
Billie Holland, community relations executive for the company, said: "We want to provide information and support in a way that really engages young people and captures their imagination.
"We offer as much support as we can for teachers, including course notes, links into the curriculum and support material."
He added that Eon is pleased that pupils from the school were willing to take part in the programme in their own time and highlighted that the aim of the campaign is to make more young people realise the potential of not only an engineering career, but possibly a future job with Eon itself.
The company currently produces podcasts explaining its low-carbon research and claims to be one of the UK's largest power and gas generators.
